We recommend opting for TinyURL over Bitly for SMS gateway utilization, as Bitly tends to encounter higher spam rates when sending messages or mobile networks.
Connect TinyURL API
Navigate to https://tinyurl.com/app and create a free account. The TinyURL free account provides 600 API credits per month, allowing for 600 link creations within that period.
Click on "Your Name"
Click on "API"
Give your token a name.
Allow all 3 permissions by blue check-marking each one.
Click on "Create Token"
Click on "Copy To Clipboard" Note: If you prefer to copy and paste to a notepad first, feel free to do so, or proceed directly to the SMS-iT platform for the next steps.
Click on the "Menu" icon.
Click on "Settings"
Scroll down to the bottom of the settings page.
Paste your API key into the "Tiny Link API Key" field.
Click on "Save"
Your Tiny Link API key has been saved.
Create a shortened link in Link-iT©.
Click on "Quick Links"
Click on "Smart Tools"
Click on "Link-iT©"
Click on "Create"
Paste the link you want to shorten into the "URL" field.
Give your URL a friendly name.
Select "Tiny"
Click on "Save"
Your shortened link has been created.
After your link has been clicked and opened, you will see the number of clicks displayed under the "Clicks" field.
Done.
