Exercise caution when composing SMS messages and avoid copying and pasting content from applications like MS Word or Outlook. Doing so may inadvertently introduce non-GSM or Unicode characters into the message. Messages containing one or more non-GSM characters are restricted to only 70 characters.
Non-GSM characters encompass special letters, symbols, or images that deviate from standard text message content. These can range from emoticons and hearts to unique characters used in various languages.
Paste your message into the field to check.
For this example, we added symbols and characters that are not compliant. The non-compliant characters are highlighted in red. If you find non-GSM characters in your message, simply remove them from your message and copy/paste the message back into its original form.
Here are the non-GSM characters removed. You'll need to make some adjustments to your message to prepare it for sending.
