Setting up a Simple Text-To-Join through the Add Group function
Click on the Quick Link
Click on "Add a Group"
Toggle on the "Text To Join Settings"
Enter a "group name", this is for internal use and is not your keyword
Provide a keyword or phrase. This will be the word(s) that your customer, client, potential customer, or client will text to join your group.
Note: On the platform, you can not reuse the same keyword twice.
Choose your communication channel. Note: Some mobile phones and VOIP numbers may not receive MMS and RCS channels.
Craft your message. This will be the first message that anyone entering your group will see.
The "Mandatory Appended Message" will be sent in a separate message to anyone entering your group
"If Member Message" If anyone tries to enter your group twice (with the same number) they will receive this message
Activate Double Opt-In if you want anyone entering your group to confirm their opt-in again, adding an extra layer of security for you.
Click on "Save"
Check to see if your group is in the system, click on the menu
Click on "Group"
You should see your newly created group in "groups"
Test entering your group and the messaging, click on the QR code icon (or you can just text the keyword to your number in the system)
Scan the QR code with your camera phone and enter the group, after that you should receive your message and also the mandatory appended message
After you enter the group check by clicking on group contacts (be sure to refresh your screen before checking)
