Vonage connect to SMS-iT platform (Buy number in Vonage)
Navigate to https://aicpanel.smsit.ai/home
This guide will ensure that the API and all settings are configured correctly in SMS-iT and Vonage. It's designed for users who already have a number in Vonage or will purchase their number in Vonage and want to connect it to the SMS-it Platform. This integration will enable you to utilize the Vonage SMS Gateway for various purposes, including bulk messaging, promotional campaigns, OTP (One-Time Password) delivery, and leveraging SMS-iT Smart Tools for customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Click on "SMS Gateway & SMPP"
Click on "Connect"
Click on "Vonage" from the pull-down menu
From the Vonage main dashboard copy "API key"
Paste "API key"
Copy "API Secret"
Paste "API Secret"
Click on "Save"
Click on "Home"
Click on "Connect"
Click on "Vonage" from pull-down menu.
Application Private Key and Application ID
Click on "Applications"
Click on "Create a new application"
Give the application a "friendly" name. A friendly name is a descriptive name that is easy to understand and remember.
Click on "Generate public and private key"
Save your private key to your hard drive and give it a name that you can easily recognize later.
Switch on "Voice" if you are using voice calls.
Switch on "Messages" if you are going to use texting in SMS-iT.

Copy the URL "Voice Webhook URL:"
Paste in "Answer URL"
Copy the URL "SMS Webhook URL:"
Under Messages, paste into "Inbound URL"
Copy the URL "Status Webhook URL:"
Under "Messages" paste into "Status URL"
Click and save "Generate new application"
You'll land on this page and copy "Application ID"
Paste into "Application ID"
Retrieve your private key from the location where you stored it and copy it. You can open the file from Microsoft Word or any application that opens .docx files.
Paste into "Application Private Key"
Click on "Save"
Click "Home"
Buy a number in Vonage
If you already have a number on Vonage, you can skip this step and proceed to adding your number to the SMS-iT platform.
Click "Numbers"
Click "Buy Numbers"
Select the features you'd like with that number. For this example, we are selecting SMS, MSM, and Voice.
Select ""type", for this example we will select mobile.
Under "Number," from the pull-down menu select "Starts with" if you want a particular area code.
Enter the area code. NOTE: You'll need to enter the country code as well. For example, if you want the area code 818, you would input 1818.
Select a number and "Buy"
Note: You must register your brand(company) before you can use the texting service in the United States. You won't be able to send messages until the 10DLC registration is completed. However, you can test if your number is correct in the SMS-iT platform by making a call.
Click "Buy"
Click "Your Numbers"
Your number has been added.
Linking you number to your Application and adding number to SMS-iT
Click "Applications"
Click on the application you had just created for the SMS-iT platform. Here we used "SMS-iT APP"
Scroll down the page.
Find your number you had just purchased.
Click "Link"
Your number is now linked to the application. Copy your number without the (+1).
Click "Menu"
Click "Numbers"
from the pull-down menu select "Vonage" and paste your number in to "Phone Number"
Click on "Save"
You'll see your number has been added and it is a Vonage number.
Friendly name
Click on your new number under "Friendly Name"
change to a friendly name and "Save"
You'll now see your friendly name.
Test your new Vonage number
Click "Quick Links"
Click on "Send a Text"
Click on "Select Send Number"
Select your Vonage number.
Enter a number from which you'd like to receive the message.
Click on "Send"
The green banner signifies that the SMS-iT platform is correctly connected to the Vonage application. If you did not receive a text it is because you have not completed your 10DLC registration.
Make a call to test Vonage to SMS-iT connection
Click "Quick Links"
Click "Make a Call"
Click on "Select from number" and choose your Vonage number from the pull-down.
Select a contact or add the number manually from the dial pad.
Make a call.
The call will connect successfully signally your connection from the SMS-iT platform and Vanage is working.
