Navigate to https://aicpanel.smsit.ai/home
This guide will walk you through adding a number through the SMS-iT platform and ensuring that the API and all settings are configured correctly. This will enable you to utilize the Twilio SMS Gateway for various purposes, including bulk messaging, promotional campaigns, OTP (One-Time Password) delivery, and leveraging SMS-iT Smart Tools for customer acquisition and retention strategies.
From the SMS-iT Dashboard, navigate to "SMS Gateway & SMPP" by clicking on it. This section allows you to manage your SMS Gateway settings.

Click on "Connect"

From the pull-down menu, locate and select "Twilio."

Now, navigate to your Twilio dashboard. On the main page, you should find the Account SID and Auth Token displayed. If you don't see this information, simply click on your account under "Console," indicated by the arrow, to access it.

Copy the Account SID and return to the SMS-iT Gateway Settings panel.

Paste into Account SID

Return to the Twilio dashboard and copy your Auth Token. Once you have copied it, navigate back to the SMS-iT dashboard.

Paste the "Auth Token"

Click on "Save" to store your Twilio account information in the SMS-iT platform. Saving is necessary to auto-populate your Twilio account details and ensure seamless integration between the two platforms.

Click on the "menu" icon. Now, we can add a number to your Twilio account directly from within the SMS-iT platform, streamlining the process with seamless integration.

From the pull-down menu, select "Twilio"

For this example, let's choose a toll-free number, but you could also opt for a local number if preferred. Remember, after creating your Twilio account, you can add as many toll-free and local numbers as needed to run all your campaigns seamlessly within the SMS-iT platform. This flexibility ensures that you have the appropriate numbers to support your communication strategies effectively.

Click on "Search"

Select a number and click "Get this number." The chosen number will then appear in your Twilio dashboard, where we can proceed to complete the setup process.

To use a Twilio number, you'll need to go through a verification process for your business, which is standard and easy to do. However, in the meantime, you can test the SMS-iT platform's integration with Twilio by using a few numbers that belong to you or that you have access to. This will allow you to send SMS texts and verify that the integration is working properly before completing the business verification process with Twilio.
Returning to the Twilio dashboard you'll see your new number.

Now click on "verified phone numbers" to add a few numbers to test the integration.

It's highly suggested to add a VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) number for verification, as mobile numbers are often blocked by network cell companies. Adding a VOIP number ensures a smoother verification process and better compatibility with the SMS-iT platform's functionalities.
The number you see already in the verified list is the number you used to set up your account. Click on "Add a new Caller ID"

If the number you used to register isn't a VOIP number, it's recommended to add one for verification purposes. VOIP numbers tend to have better compatibility and fewer restrictions compared to mobile numbers.
